On-Street Parking and City Ordinance Requirements

This is a friendly reminder regarding parking rules within Shale Creek. Recently, the Association has observed an increase in vehicles parking on curbs, sidewalks, and grass areas. These practices create safety concerns, block pedestrian access, and can cause damage to community property.

Please remember the following:

Community Parking Expectations
• Vehicles must be parked in driveways or designated parking areas.
• Parking on sidewalks, curbs, or yard/grass areas is not permitted.
• Vehicles should never block sidewalks, as this prevents safe passage for children, pedestrians, and strollers.

City of Rhome Ordinance Reminders
The City of Rhome prohibits parking in a manner that:
• Blocks or obstructs sidewalks or pedestrian pathways
• Damages or restricts access to public rights-of-way
• Leaves vehicles parked on grass or non-paved surfaces

These regulations are enforced to promote safety, accessibility, and community upkeep. Residents may be subject to citations or fines from the city if violations occur. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in keeping Shale Creek safe, accessible, and looking its best.
